This week was a good one for all of us and we accomplished a lot! We have completed our ServSafe textbook and have been doing a lot of review for our final test.
We are hard at work on our Nutrition book. This week we went in depth about healthy ways to prepare foods, allergen concerns, and different religious diets.
Jackie sacrificed some of our class pet, Minnie-the sourdough starter, and made some flavorful biscuits for us all to try.
We were very productive in the kitchen this week. We produced about 1400 cookies of four different varieties: chocolate chip, cranberry oatmeal, monster, and a new flavor: pumpkin snickerdoodle.
We learned the delicate process of making tasty and tender muffins.
We are all hard at work on our final nutrition projects and will be presenting them in two weeks. We are officially half way through our program and have learned so much. Looking forward to next week and all the knowledge and experience that it will bring!
